Monday, Monday, Monday!!!

Well, it is a BEAUTIFUL Monday morning!!! I just LOVE mornings!!! Sunrise is the best part of the day!!! Once it is light out, my Spokesperson doesn't get all crabby every time I let out the least little bark. It is RIDICULOUS! The other two dogs I hang with were totally voiceless before I joined them. They had been cowered into long years of utter silence. I mean, you might as well cut the soul out of a dog as take away her bark! Gloria (the one ton Newfie) still hasn't gotten up the gumption to bark, but, I'm starting to make progress with that mean little Border Collie, Rivie! About a week ago, I actually got her in trouble! She was caught barking after dark with me. Well...actually, we weren't even barking...we were trying to out-howl each other. It was SO COOL! We had our heads side by side just howling our little hearts out. I think they could hear us in the next town over! We were blending so beautifully with the wail of the passing sirens. We actually got away with it for a few minutes before our Spokesperson was able to stumble out of bed in her sleepy stupor and come tearing out to the back yard to shut us up! I was so glad I wasn't the only one getting in trouble for once! Rivie has real potential! I think I can work with and shape her into a real dog, yet! I don't know about Gloria. Newfoundlands aren't very smart, you know. They are pleasant enough to hang with, but, they are harder to rehabilitate!
